Passive RFID Solutions
Our passive RFID solutions are typically geared toward applications that require a low cost, generally disposable tag. These are for high volume applications such as pallet/item level identification and tracking. Examples of passive solutions include applications such as:
- Tracking/location at the pallet/item level through a manufacturing operation
- Item/pallet tracking through shipping or distribution
- Automated inventory management for retail operations
- Sample tracking in Hospitals/Healthcare
- Hospital patient identification via RFID enabled wristbands
Retail
An IBSS passive RFID solution enables organizations to comply with standards currently being implemented by Wal-mart, Proctor and Gamble, and The United States Department of Defense, as well as utilize the emerging Electronic Product Code (EPC) Network. Distribution
And since the passive RFID smartlabels carry a traditional barcode as well as the RFID capabilities, combination systems can be implemented where appropriate. This also helps provide for a smoother implementation and transition. The passive tags are read/write enabled, allowing them to act as portable databases so product information can be attached to the labeled item.
Our passive solutions can be coupled with our Synapse SCM (Supply Chain Management) software or with a custom application developed with our Synapse RAD (Rapid Application Development) platform. The Supply Chain Management solution has extensive functionality for managing inventory, shipping, and WIP tracking while, Synapse RAD provides the tools necessary to quickly and efficiently develop a truly customized solution capable of handling high volume operations.
